The holiday season is upon us. However, for many, a season that is normally marked by celebration and joy can easily become overwhelmed with sorrow and dread due to the death (recent or past) of a loved one. So the goal often becomes a sense of, "I just need to survive the holidays, and get through this."

We don't want you to do that alone or without help.

When you are grieving a loved one's death, the holiday season can be especially painful. Our Surviving the Holidays seminar helps participants prepare for the holidays and even discover hope for the future.

We will gather at Citylight West (3401 Oak View Dr) in the adult classroom on November 8th (Saturday) from 9am-11am.

There will be refreshments and coffee for the morning. We will watch a powerful video with a panel of experts who have their own stories of loss and grief, as well as testimonials that will be easy to relate to. After this, we will engage in conversation together around our tables as we all start making our plans for how we will "survive" the holidays, and then we will end the event with a special time of prayer and remembering. You are encouraged, but not required, to bring a picture of your loved one(s) you are grieving or remembering to this event.

The cost is $12.00 to attend, and covers the Survival Guide you will be receiving, which has 30 daily devotionals and tips for how to mingling of sorrow and grief that accompanies the holiday season.

We hope to see you there.
